Lecture & Practical Course: Modern techniques of biochemical analysis “HPCE & FACE”

The participants will be introduced to the basic principles of the techniques of capillary electrophoresis and fluorophore-assisted electrophoresis and the their broad spectrum of biomedical applications.

Session A: lectures (from 09 am to 12 pm) to be held at the Seminar Room of the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras.

SCIENTIFIC MEETING OF THE RESEARCH NETWORK BIOTARGETING Biomedical and Biotechnological Applications: Pharmacotargeting of diseases and applications of biocompatible materials in medicine Conference Center, University of Patras, Friday, November 5^th of 2010

The aims and the goals of the research network BIOTARGETING: Biomedical and Biotechnological Applications: Pharmacotargeting of diseases and applications of biocompatible materials in medicine (http://www.biotargeting.upatras.gr) will be presented on Friday, November 5^th of 2010. For this purpose a scientific meeting at Conference Center, University of Patras it is organized.

The research network aims to reinforce the collaboration of the research groups and researchers of the University of Patras, as well as the research institutes, that have common research interests with the network.

Invited speaker is the Professor Mario Leclerc (University of Laval, Quebec, Canada) with a lecture on: Label-free optimal detection of DNA with conjugated polymers.

The program includes presentations of the main research interests of the network by the coordinators of the research groups that participate to the network, as well as poster presentations by collaborators and post-graduate students.
